Grand Junction, Colo (KKCO) --- Governor Hickenlooper paid Grand Junction a visit today to talk to community and business leaders.
Issues discussed included unemployment, transportation, health care, education, water quality and tourism.
Hickenlooper said he knows Mesa County has yet to recover its economy and hopes through discussions like these, a solution can be created to drive forth job creation.
He also made his way to the old Cameo Power Plant for a presentation of information about a proposed shooting and educational facility, which he supports.
This complex will preserve the heritage and traditions of the Western Slope and will manage shooting sports and recreation.
