Grand Junction, Colo. (KKCO) – Each week Kids Aid provides between 16 and 17 hundred district 51 students with food for the weekend. This is provided through the Kid’s Aid backpack program.
Now Kids Aid needs your help in a " Fighting Hunger Together" contest on Facebook.
It's a national competition featuring over 200 organizations that help alleviate child hunger. All you have to do is vote for the organization on Facebook.
The 60 groups with the most votes will get a 20 thousand dollar grant from Wal-Mart. "It'd be big our budget is around 250 thousand dollars, so it would be a little under ten percent of what our annual need is," says Mike Berry who is the Director of Kids Aid.
Voting started on April 1st and goes until mid-night on April 30th. To vote click on the "Find It" button for a link.
