Tonight Mesa Theatre hosted the historical stand up of longtime comedian Paul Poundstone. Poundstone has been a staple in the comedy scene for 25 years, appearing on the tonight show, HBO specials and NPR podcast.

Tonight's show started early as Paula warmed up the jokes before hitting the stage, "Poor grand junction is going to hear my wrath about trying to get into Colorado. [Grand Junction] has quite the system worked out here where it is impossible to get to you and impossible to get away. I've never been to Grand Junction and I know because I would have never gotten out again. Probably a lot of people had no intention to stay here in the first place, but this is how you built up your population"

This is Paula’s first time here in the Grand Valley. Paula won an American comedy award for best female stand up comic...and in 2010 was voted into the comedy hall of fame.
