NM High School Employee Charged with Giving Drugs to Students

An employee at a high school in New Mexico is charged with serving cocaine to students at her apartment.

21-year-old Ashley Herrod, a secretary at Sandia High School in Albuquerque, was arrested when deputies caught her giving cocaine to two students in her apartment during her lunch break.

The deputies were originally at her apartment to serve eviction paperwork when they saw the drugs.

Herrod has been suspended with pay while officials investigate the incident.
