Washington (AP) Hillary Rodham Clinton is pledging her support to Barack Obama. She e-mailed supporters this morning saying her announcement Saturday will talk about how the party can rally around it's presumptive nominee for president.

She says the stakes are too high not to do so.

Clinton is said to be readying a Saturday announcement to end her campaign and back Obama. But she's hinting at retaining control of her delegates and staying visible to promote her signature issue of health care.

As for whether she'll be on the ticket as Obama's running-mate, Obama tells CBS she'd be on anybody's short list.

Meantime, the vetting of potential running mates will be done by a three-person team that includes Caroline Kennedy, the daughter of former president John F. Kennedy. Former Deputy Attorney General Eric Holder, who served under President Bill Clinton, and Washington insider Jim Johnson are also on the team.
