New sex abuse allegations have surfaced against one of America’s most trusted institutions.

The Boy Scouts of America is being accused of covering up abuse against children for decades.

An investigation by the Los Angeles Times has revealed the shocking allegations.

The paper says scout officials quietly asked volunteers suspected of abuse to resign. They then reportedly covered up the tracks.

The Boy Scouts has responded, saying that they will "now include background checks and comprehensive training programs."
