(NBC News) Dozens of tornadoes left their mark across the Midwest over the weekend, and more severe weather could be on the way.

The most vicious storm hit Sunday in Shawnee, Oklahoma where a twister leveled an entire neighborhood.

Several blocks were completely wiped away.

A trail of debris stretches across several states now, homes and businesses ripped apart.

Just outside of Oklahoma City, two 18-wheelers were pushed over on their sides, one left dangling along the railing of an overpass.

Forecasters warn more storms could pop up later today.
