The cost of hosting thanksgiving dinner can leave a bad taste in your mouth.
The average cost to host the big day will run about $246 this year, according to a Coupon Cabin survey of more than 2,000 adults.
That cost has prompted 12 percent of Americans to pass on hosting Thanksgiving in the past.
And nearly 15 percent have felt pressured into hosting the dinner because relatives or friends don't want to foot the bill.
The Coupon Cabin folks suggest skipping name brands and buying generic to save a few dollars, and keep your decorations simple. That big bird in the middle of the table is the only centerpiece you'll need.
