FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (KKCO) One of the NFL's most talked about quarterbacks Tim Tebow has been released by the New England Patriots in Saturday's 53-man roster cut, according to a league source.
The Patriots signed Tebow on June 11th and worked with him through the off-season, but he was unable to produce big numbers during the preseason games. In the end, the team decided to carry just two quarterbacks into the regular season - Tom Brady and Ryan Mallett.
Tebow played in three preseason games with his best performance coming on Thursday against the New York Giants. He completed 6 of 11 passes for 91 yards with two touchdowns and one interception.
