GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) - American Constitution Party candidate for governor Tom Tancredo attended Saturday night's Club 20 debates but wasn't allowed to take part. Instead, he held a press conference on the steps of the Two Rivers Convention Center.

Tancredo says he "is" a viable candidate and the best choice for Colorado's governor. "Everybody in this city and this area has the right to hear from some people who have something to say and who actually have a chance of winning the race. I'm one of those guys." says Tancredo.

Club 20 says Tancredo wasn't invited to take part in the debates because of a long standing policy that requires a party to have at least one percent of the voters in the state affiliated with it in order to participate.
