GRAND JUNCTION (KKCO)- Friday U.S. Attorney John Walsh issued 25 letters to marijuana dispensaries. The letters warned them that action will be taken to seize their property if they did not quit selling their product with in 45 days from March 23, 2012.
If the stores do no follow these orders, they will be subject to civil and criminal action from the U.S. Attorney and possibly the DEA.
The dispensaries that are located in different cities across the state are each within at least 1,000 feet of a school; many are even less than 1,000 feet, causing enhanced penalties under federal law.
