Washington (AP) Barack Obama has a meeting with house democrats today.
The get-together comes a day after the Bush administration said the next president will have to grapple with a record deficit estimated at 482 billion dollars.
Despite the sobering news about the deficit, Obama maintains another stimulus package is one of the things that's needed to help right the struggling economy.
This afternoon's meeting is also designed to ease concerns from some Democratic lawmakers that the Obama campaign isn't keeping in close enough touch with them.
