DENVER, Colo. (KKCO) - Governor John Hickenlooper announced Friday the appointment of Michael Scott to serve as the new Director of Paper Distribution for the Department of Natural Resources.
In a release, Hickenlooper says Scott's primary job will be to help the state move the state's abundant amount of bark beetle lumber into the marketplace.
Scott comes to Colorado from Scranton, PA where he served as Regional Branch Manager for the Dunder Mifflin Paper Company. He also briefly launched his own business, the Michael Scott Paper Company, which was later purchased by Dunder Mifflin.
"Michael will be a wonderful addition to our paper team, focusing particularly on the use of the beetle kill in paper production," said Hickenlooper. "We hired him based on his skills, personal drive, and love for 'That's what she said' jokes."
Scott's appointment is effective April 28.
