DENVER (AP) - Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper is in Washington for the National Governors Association.

Hickenlooper and other governors plan to return to the White House on Monday to meet with President Barack Obama, Vice President Joe Biden and their wives. Obama also met privately with Democratic governors on Friday.

Obama says he wants to hear ideas about how to repair the nation's economy.

Hickenlooper has upset some fellow democrats with his proposal to slash education funding to help balance the state budget.

He plans to be back in Colorado on Tuesday to sign several bills into law.

I had to laugh at this sentence in the story: “Obama says he wants to hear ideas about how to repair the nation's economy.” People have been screaming the word “drill” at the top of their lungs for years now, yet the Department of The Inferior has made the application process nearly impossible to complete.
