Obama campaign to release documentary

WASHINGTON (AP) -- President Barack Obama’s re-election campaign plans to release a 17-minute documentary next week about his first term in office.

Campaign manager Jim Messina says the documentary was directed by Davis Guggenheim, whose credits include the Academy Award-winning, “An Inconvenient Truth,” about Al Gore’s global-warming campaign.

Messina says the documentary will, in his words, “put into perspective the enormous challenges that the nation faced when the president took office and the strides we’ve made together.”

Campaigns frequently release documentary films to reach voters and amplify the narrative of a candidate’s message. In 1992, TV producers Harry Thomason and Linda Bloodworth-Thomason helped create “The Man From Hope,” a campaign biography of Bill Clinton.

Hilarious to see the broken right and the broken left fight over which crappy party deserves their support. Nice to see the broken party flag wavers of each stinky party claim that their broken party is really the party of the nation. Someday we will all see that neither the Big R or the Big D really mean anything. One day we all will see that the Big R and the Big D are just in it for themselves and are not representative of the masses. Until then, the Big R's and the Big D's will just spew their broken rhetoric and their broken talking points. Hilarious to see that most still carry the broken flags of their father's parties.

Yeah it is hilarious as this country drowns in an abyss of debt, loss of freedoms, and disrespect for the Constitution, hilarious as hell. What are you, an intellectual giant obviously, doing about the probems in this country other than pretend to be superior to the way our two party system works.

Yes, it's self-serving, kind of like renting an aircraft carrier, a Navy F-16, and a big banner that read "Mission Accomplished" for your own self-agranddizement. As for the comments posted here-examples of those incapable of critical analysis. You should be glad McPalin failed in 2008 or we'd be knee deep in Iran, Libya, and Syria by now. Yes, gas would be as cheap as Know-it-all Newt wants it, but you might have sacrificed a son or daughter for it. Oh, and the deficit would not magically have shrunk either. Here we are, 5 years later and you are still clinging to your guns and religion.

Citizen, are the investigators of the Maricopa county sheriffs department "incapable of critical analysis?" Just wondering.....

I already watched a documentary, a news conference actually from the Maricopa county sheriff a few days ago, so there is really no need to watch this one.

Hey, its the "smartest man in Grand Junction" here to stun and amaze us with his clever insight and his supremely funny wit. Does it suck to be the smartest guy this side of the divide or do you relish the fact that you are a genius of Einsteinian proportions?

The only way this 17 minute piece of propaganda could be more of a Liberal tool, would be if Michael Moore directed it.

It isn't a documentary. It is called propaganda. If "Davis Guggenheim, whose credits include the Academy Award-winning, “An Inconvenient Truth,” about Al Gore’s global-warming campaign." is involved, it will be totally fabricated lies just like the global warming hoax is.

Everything must be going great in this country. I just read that barry was pitching movie scripts to Hollywood. He got turned down by Weinstein, but what the heck does he know? Keep it up barry!

President Obama will easily win re-election. The tea baggers are a tiny minority of the people but get tons of publicity because they say stupid outrageous things.

Really? All I ever see the media covering is the minority left wing wacko agenda. Remember global warming? Remember it was all proven to be wrong? Media doesn't talk about that anymore, do they? Why? Because it's against the left wing wacko agenda. Fact is, sir, the LEFT is the minority in this country, but does indeed get the majority of the spotlight.
