BURLINGTON, VT. (AP) -- President Barack Obama could be caught in an election-year bind on gay marriage, wedged between the pressure of supporters who want him to back same-sex marriage and the political perils of igniting an explosive social issue in the midst of the campaign.

Interviews with gay rights advocates and people close to Obama's campaign suggest it is no longer a matter of if, but when the president publicly voices his support for gay marriage. But Obama backers are split over whether that will happen before the November election.

Gay marriage is already a big issue in Maine, where Obama is headlining two fundraisers on Friday. The president also is attending fundraisers in Vermont, where gay marriage is legal.

Obama once opposed gay marriage but now says his views are "evolving."

No matter where he was born, he is selling us out both at home and abroad. He is trashing our economy with reckless spending. He is secretly negotiating with Russia to not only throw away our nukes but remove our missile defense shields.

So true. He obviously doesn't know everything like you do, so he has to change his mind when he learns something new. You're so lucky not to have to go through that.

Well, I don't know about all that, but I do know where my real birth certificate is. I guess that makes me a rocket scientist eh?

So what? He's three years behind the times too. The fact that you guys keep dragging the issue up doesn't make it any fresher. Actually, if he's only three years behind he's well ahead of most of the Tea Party.

So, a investigation by a law enforcement team that reveals that the birth certificate and the postmark on the Selective Service form are fraudulent means nothing to you? Okay, if you want to be a drone, that's your choice. Cheers.

You need to read the article again, this time for comprehension. It didn't say anything WAS fraudulent. It said they thought it MIGHT be. Big difference, but one that is no doubt lost on you. Go right on ahead asserting things that you can't back up. You're making the Tea Party look every bit the fools they are.

Scott, you missed the big flap the alphabet media made about the Kenyan born Illinois senate hopfull? namely, Obama. It was all over the news, I,m really surprised the democrats missed that. Usually, they are right on top of everything, unless they think they can win with it. Obama even admitted he was not a natural born citizen at that time, but that information disappeared all of a sudden. Can you imagine that?

A non-issue, designed to deflect our attention from Obummer's real problem which is his record.

I can't wait for the debate where bird bath tries to give Obama hard time over individual mandate in affordable healthcare act after implementing exactly the same thing in Massachusetts.
