LAKEWOOD, Colo. (AP) -- Hundreds of people are trickling into the gymnasium at Lakewood High School to see Mitt Romney's running mate make his public debut in Colorado.
Wisconsin congressman Paul Ryan, is scheduled to appear at 11:35 am. Tuesday. The stage where he will speak is backed by an enormous American flag.
Romney is spending the day campaigning in Ohio, another key swing state. Romney publicly praised his running mate's work as necessary to protect the long-term survival of Medicare, the government-run health insurance program for the elderly.
Ryan also held a fundraiser during his trip to Colorado. Next, he'll court voters and donors in Nevada.
