GRAND JUNCTION, CO (KKCO) ---- Dan Robinson confirmed to KKCO 11 News Monday morning he will run for State House in District 55, the seat currently held by Republican Ray Scott.
Robinson, a Democrat, currently serves as a Colorado Mesa University Trustee and was a two term District 51 board member.
Robinson will be joined by family, friends, and community leaders at 12:00 noon near the fountain at Main and N. 6th streets on Monday, March 5th to make an official announcement.

"Dan has been a recognized member of the community in Mesa County for 35 years. He has received numerous community awards for his contributions to the community. He is currently a Trustee of Colorado Mesa University.
Dan was elected to the District #51 School Board for two terms, and has received appointments from four Colorado Governors to state boards and commissions. He served as the Director, Grand Mesa Youth Services Center, Colorado Division of Youth Corrections from 1989 to 2008, and as Deputy District Attorney in Grand Junction from 1985 to 1989. He was a founder and five year director of Mesa County Partners."
