Denver (AP) Denver prosecutors have charged two men accused of drilling into cars' gas tanks to steal gasoline in the last couple of months.

Twenty-seven-year-old Shad Reimer and 24-year-old Randall Tomei each are charged with 11 counts of criminal mischief and one count of theft.

The two were arrested march 27 after a police officer spotted a vehicle matching the description of a vehicle believed to be involved in the thefts.

Reimer was jailed Thursday on $10,000 bond and Tomei was jailed on $15,000 bond.

According to AAA Colorado, the average price of regular unleaded gasoline in Colorado is now $3.24 per gallon, up about 59 cents compared to last year.
