Frisco, Colo. (AP) An 18-year-old Grand Junction woman faces charges in a traffic accident that injured a state highway worker.
The Colorado state patrol says 42-year-old Rick Lee was struck in the leg when Ashley Webb fell asleep behind the wheel of her car and ran off interstate 70 into the center median near Frisco early Sunday.
Master trooper Ron Watkins says Lee's injuries were moderate to minor. He was taken to a medical center in Breckenridge.
Webb was not hurt.
Authorities say Lee was repairing the cable barrier when Webb's Honda Accord ran off the left side of the highway. Lee's leg was struck as he tried to jump over the cable.
