Montezuma, Colo. (AP) Fire officials say one person is dead after a fire destroyed a house near Montezuma.

Lake Dillon fire-rescue spokesman Brandon Williams says rescuers found the man's body within the ash and debris of a four-story house Wednesday afternoon. Williams says the man had been previously reported missing by his family, who identified him as
Dan Campbell, the home's owner.

The fire occurred Tuesday evening about two miles east of Montezuma. Williams says the house was located in a remote location in the mountains above 10,000 feet.

Montezuma County Sheriff's officials and the Colorado Bureau of Investigation are working with fire-rescue authorities to determine the origin and cause of the blaze.
