After searching for nearly 24 hours, authorities located the body of a missing hiker.
The coroner has identified the victim as Steve Gladbach of Pueblo.
Gladbach got separated from two hiking partners in mountains Sunday afternoon near Aspen in western Colorado. He reportedly got ahead of them while climbing down Thunder Pyramid Peak, and they sight of him. Gladbach's partners activated an emergency locator transmitter after being unable to find him.
Personnel from the Colorado National Guard's mountain rescue team searched the area Sunday by helicopter but found no sign of Gladbach.
Helicopter and ground teams resumed the search Monday and found the body on Thunder Pyramid Peak.
The coroner says he died of a head injury after he fell.
