Denver (AP) Denver police seized hundreds of pounds of fireworks from a residential garage today.
Police who went to the home after an alarm was tripped found the fireworks. The homeowner was arrested. Police did not release a name.
Steven Garrod of the Denver fire department said the fireworks would be set off in an undisclosed location.
Police technician Dean Christopherson says possessing, using or selling fireworks in Denver is illegal, with penalties including possible jail time and a fine.
