Colorado has a new way to get deadbeat parents to pay up. A new state law now requires casinos and racetracks to intercept their gambling winnings.

In an effort to catch people who are delinquent on their child support payments, casinos and racetracks are now required by law to run the names of people who win taxable-cash prizes. It's a small burden according to the Colorado Department of Human Services to collect the millions of dollars owed to Colorado families.

Colorado is the first state in the nation willing to start a program like this.
