Denver (AP) A Denver blood bank is doing its bit to prepare for the Democratic National Convention.
The Bonfils Blood Center is trying to stock up on blood supplies for the convention that runs aug. 25th to 28th in Denver. Bonfils spokeswoman Jessica Maitland says blood donations typically drop by as much as 20 percent during the summer and this year that
coincides with the convention.
The center is stepping up efforts to increase the number of donations. Maitland says there will be plenty of blood available during the convention to respond to emergencies.
