Colorado Springs, Colo. (AP) Prosecutors say a Fort Carson soldier suspected of shooting and wounding another soldier is tied to a June double homicide in Colorado Springs.

The revelation came Monday as prosecutors argued against having the $500,000 bond reduced for PFC. Jomar Dionisio Falu-Vives. Chief Deputy district attorney Diana May says the same military-style assault rifle used in the may shooting of a Fort Carson soldier for which Falu-Vives is a suspect is the same weapon tied to two June slayings.

Killed in that shooting were 21-year-old Cesar Ramirez Ibanez and 18-year-old Amairany Cervantes.

Also suspected in the Colorado Springs shooting of the Fort Carson solider is SPC. Rodolfo Torres-Gandarilla. Falu-Vives and Torres-Gandarilla are decorated army soldiers who served in Iraq.
