Denver (AP) A Denver father overcome by the burning death of his son had to be restrained when the child's mother and boyfriend appeared in court to face murder charges.

Two-year-old Elijah Archuleta died of severe burns last week. His mother, 23-year-old Isela Reyes-Talamentes, and her boyfriend face murder charges in the toddler's death.

The accused couple had a court appearance Sunday, and the boy's father had to be restrained when they entered. The Denver Post reports that James Archuleta was sobbing and lurched toward the boyfriend, 24-year-old John Vigil. Later Sunday, James Archuleta
joined about a dozen mourners at a candlelight vigil for his son.
