Boulder, Colo. (AP) A Boulder atheist hopes a billboard campaign will encourage other like-minded people to seek the fellowship of nonbelievers.
The billboards say, “don't believe in god? You're not alone.”
Marvin Straus and his group Colorado coalition of reason paid $5,000 for 10 billboards in Denver and one in Colorado Springs.
The billboards are owned by CBS outdoor. The company didn't immediately return a message.
Straus says a billboard company serving Fort Collins, Greeley and Loveland refused to carry the message. Straus didn't identify that company but said he's not upset.
The freedom from religion foundation filed suit in Los Angeles Federal Court alleging Rancho Cucamonga, Calif, had a role the removal of atheist billboards.
