Buescher Being Considered To Replace Coffman

Even though he lost in November, Bernie Buescher's chances of heading back to the State Capitol in January just got better.

On Tuesday, his name was one of three passed along to Governor Bill Ritter by a bi-partisan committee to replace current Secretary of State Mike Coffman.

The panel also recommended outgoing Speaker of the House Andrew Romanoff and Ken Gordon, a current state Senator from Denver.

Coffman, who was elected to congress in November is expected to resign as Secretary of State before the new session in January.
