Denver (AP) Denver police say there is insufficient evidence to seek charges against a woman accused of stealing narcotic painkillers and a pump device from an unconscious marine and Iraq vet who was in a hospital for surgery.
Fifty-nine-year-old Linda Coulimore was arrested Jan. 30 in Weld County after detectives obtained a warrant on charges of assault on an at-risk adult.
Investigators thought they were able to identify Coulimore as the woman seen on surveillance photos Jan. 28 at Presbyterian/St. Luke’s Medical Center. Detectives think the woman in the photos entered the patient’s room and removed his pain pump.
Authorities released the photos to the public and received tips suggesting the woman was Coulimore. Detectives investigated the case and determined they didn’t have enough evidence to pursue charges against her.
Police say the investigation is continuing, and anyone with information is asked to call 720-913-2000.
