Denver (AP) Deliberations resume Tuesday in the trial of Alex Midyette, who is charged with fatal child abuse in the death of his 11-week-old son.
The 29-year-old Louisville man is accused in the March 2006 death of his son, Jason. Prosecutors say Jason suffered 37 broken bones at the hands of his father.
Defense attorneys say the boy suffered from a metabolic disease.
Midyette could face up to 48 years in prison if convicted.
Deliberations began Friday.
Molly Midyette, the boy’s mother, is serving a 16-year sentence for her December 2007 conviction for failing to get Jason medical help.
