Colo. weighs suspending student tests to cut costs

Denver (AP) - For some Colorado students, the state budget crisis might be better than a snow day.
State lawmakers will debate a plan Monday that would suspend statewide student performance tests in the ninth and 10th grades for two years to save money.
The proposal is scheduled to go before the house education committee.
