Non-profits, small business and government agencies in Montrose have a new home. Today is the ribbon cutting celebration for the Region 10 Enterprise Center in Montrose.
The ribbon cutting is at 1:30 p.m. today at 300 North Cascade in Montrose.
Region 10 offers low-cost office space to non-profit organizations, emerging and existing small businesses and government entities.
Officials say the new building has an 88 percent occupancy of the space finished so far and more new offices will be finished later this year.
Current Enterprise Center tenants include: AWA Kitchen Cabinets, Black Canyon Boys & Girls Club, Center for Independence, Fore-Kin-Trails Genealogy Center, One Community, Region 10 League for Economic Assistance and Planning, Tammie's Skin Care, Turnaround Transport, Uncompahgre Valley Legal Aid, Underage Drinking/Drug Task Force, Voices for Children (CASA), and the Western Regional Emergency Medical Services Council.
The Region 10 League for Economic Assistance and Planning is a six-county non-profit organization. Officials say that in addition to the Enterprise Center, it also operates the Area Agency on Aging, coordinates regional transportation planning and operates a small business loan program.
