CHEYENNE, WYO. (AP) _Fifteen people were injured in three pileups involving about 50 vehicles on Interstate 25 in Northern Colorado.
The crashes happened in snowy weather yesterday Morning just south of the Wyoming state line. The pileups occurred In the southbound lanes.
The interstate remained closed last night from Cheyenne southward. Cheyenne Regional Medical Center officials say 12 people were being treated for injuries. Of those, six people were in fair condition. A hospital spokeswoman said she didn't know the condition of the other six. 27 others were taken to the hospital by bus. Of those, 24 people didn't require treatment or refused treatment. The other three were treated for minor injuries and released.
The crashes occurred amid a spring storm that dumped heavy snow over much of Colorado.
