Road Restrictions and Closures, Friday Morning

A spring snowstorm that brought some much-needed moisture to Colorado is moving out this morning, but many roads and side streets are still covered with snow and ice -- making travel difficult.

The Colorado Department of Transportation is warning drivers to be prepared for tough driving conditions statewide.

Road closures across the state:
I-25 from Wellington to Wyoming
US 24 from CO Springs to Limon
CO 94 from CO Springs to Punkin Center
CO 65 at the Grand Mesa

Chain restrictions across the state:
WB I-70 near Denver from MM 259-251
EB I-70 near Mt. Vernon Cyn/Floyd Hill MM 244-251
EB I-70 through the Eisenhower Tunnel
EB I-70 through Vail Pass
I-25 through Monument Hill
CO 133 through McClure Pass

*The chain restrictions are in place for all commercial vehicles, including buses, and vans 16+ capacity.
