Glenwood Springs, Colo. (AP) - The Colorado State Patrol says a man and woman who were killed in a crash after allegedly trying to drive away from troopers were from Wisconsin.
The State Patrol on Sunday identified the victims as 29-year-old Jonathan P. Holum and 23-year-old Cora Weil, both of Eau Claire.
Authorities say a trooper stopped the pickup truck after midnight Saturday because it was weaving on Colorado 82 in Garfield County. The trooper suspected Holum was driving under the influence
of alcohol.
Troopers say the truck drove off and tried to force a trooper's car off the road during a chase. The truck lost control, rolled and ejected Holum and Weil. They weren't wearing seat belts.
