Near Colorado Springs, one person is dead after an overnight accident at a construction site north of Monument.
The Colorado State Patrol says that the accident happened around 2:30 a.m. Monday near mile marker 162. According to Troopers, the driver was going southbound on I-25 when their car collided with a steamroller.
The driver of the car died at the scene. The person operating the steamroller is uninjured.
The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
