UPDATE: Montrose Coroner releases manner of Sgt. Kinterknecht's death

The Montrose County Coroner has released more information about how Sgt. David Kinterknecht of the Montrose Police Department died Saturday night.

Coroner Thomas Canfield says autopsy results show the 42-year-old died of a single shotgun wound to his left lateral chest.

Canfield also just identified the suspect in the shooting death of Kinterknecht and wounding of two other officers. He says 52-year-old Dennis Gurney died of a single, self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.
