The Montrose County Coroner has released more information about how Sgt. David Kinterknecht of the Montrose Police Department died Saturday night.
Coroner Thomas Canfield says autopsy results show the 42-year-old died of a single shotgun wound to his left lateral chest.
Canfield also just identified the suspect in the shooting death of Kinterknecht and wounding of two other officers. He says 52-year-old Dennis Gurney died of a single, self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.
