UPDATE: One wounded Montrose PD officer released, the other still in good condition

Wounded Montrose Police Officer Larry Witte has been released from the hospital and Officer Rodney Ragsdale is listed in good condition.

The two were shot by 52-year-old Dennis Gurney after they responded to a domestic violence call in Montrose Saturday night with Sgt. David Kinterknecht who was killed.

Ragsdale and WItte were wounded. Ragsdale is in a Grand Junction hospital and Witte was in a Montrose hospital.

Sgt. David Kinterknecht was killed by a single shotgun wound to the chest according to the Montrose County Coroner.
