A wildfire that started Tuesday afternoon caused a power outage between two towns in Rio Blanco County spread to 250 acres by Tuesday night.
The BLM says the blaze is east of Rangely and knocked out power between Rangely and Meeker, but power was restored early Tuesday evening.
The fire started on private land and is now also on BLM land.
Four fire engines, a five-person squad, and a helicopter are fighting the fire.
The BLM says access is limited because of extremely steep and rough terrain.
The fire is threatening three structures, oil and gas infrastructure, and a White River Electric power line.
The cause is under investigation.
Smoke from the fire can be seen as far away as Eagle County.
