Officials: Extensive search underway for missing Olathe man

An extensive air and ground search is underway in Montrose County as friends, family, and officials search for an Olathe man missing since Sunday morning.

Officials say at around 3:30 p.m. Sunday Montrose County Sheriff's Deputies responded to a house in the 5700 block of 5825 Road after receiving a missing person call.

Family members are reporting Abade J. Martinez, 52, as missing. They say the last time he was seen was around 2:30 a.m. Sunday morning. When they went to check on him around 5:30 a.m. later that morning he was missing.

Martinez is described as Hispanic, 5' 5" tall with brown eyes and brown hair. He has a mustache and goatee. He was last seen wearing a gray t-shirt and jeans.

Authorities say an extensive ground and air search is underway and that members of the Sheriff’s Office, Montrose County Sheriff’s Posse and friends and family of Martinez are looking for him.
