The Aspen Police Department has released a 911 call from a man calling about a Black Bear in his house just after it attacked his wife.

Officials say the woman heard her dog barking and went downstairs to find a large Black Bear.

The woman got cuts on her back and chest when the bear swung at her.

She managed to run upstairs and call 911 and that’s when the bear hid.

The DOW says her doors were unlocked.

As winter gets closer, bears will be looking for more food to prepare for hibernation.
