Denver (AP) - Colorado will receive $2.8 million as part of Pfizer Inc.'s $2.3 billion civil and criminal penalty over unlawful prescription drug promotions.

Federal officials announced the settlement Wednesday. Pfizer is the world's largest drug maker, and the settlement is a record.

Colorado Attorney General John Suthers says Colorado will get an additional $705,000 as part of a $33 million multistate settlement with Pfizer reached in October.
