A Ridgway man will spend the next four decades behind bars for the death of a drifter in Montrose.

Twenty eight–year-old Jeremy Hodges was sentenced to 40 years in prison Friday for the death of 50–year-old Steven Kublin.

Hodges pleaded guilty to second-degree murder last month.

Officials say Hodges killed Kublin then set his body on fire at the Montrose landfill.

Hodges will also pay standard court fees and was given credit for time served.
