Denver (AP) – Three lucky people who have never experienced snow will get a chance to spend three months reveling in it and sampling some winter activities in Colorado for free.
The three snow virgins who ultimately get chosen will get that chance as part of a contest launched Monday by the Colorado Tourism office. The winners will get an expenses-paid trip to Colorado from January through March and will partake in snowmobiling, skiing, and snowshoeing with the help of instructions and guides. Contest winners will then Facebook, YouTube and Twitter about it.
Applicants will submit videos explaining why they should win and then people will vote for them online.
Tourism Director Kim McNulty says the idea is to show Colorado through the contest winners’ fresh eyes, whether they’re from the U.S. or not. For more on the contest, click the link below.
