Every minute in the United Sates a person attempts, but does not complete suicide. Until now, there was no support for people living through this trauma, but a non-profit in Montrose is trying to help.

The Kirwan-Carr Foundation was set up to help families dealing with attempted suicide. The organization is just getting started and is trying to raise funds so they can launch a Web site.

They're hosting a benefit concert at the Turn of the Century Saloon in Montrose. The event will be held on Friday, Nov. 6, with hope of raising awareness and funds. Only 200 tickets will be available for the event.

Thank you James. It was great to meet you! The link to the foundation website has a spelling error with an "s" instead of a "w". Do you have a link I can post to the websites of the story you aired? I would appreciate it!
