EL JEBEL, Colo. (AP) -- Authorities say a couple found dead in El Jebel, south of Glenwood Springs, died in a homicide-suicide.

Eagle County sheriff's officials said Monday that autopsy results confirm that 68-year-old Andrew Mazeika shot his 54-year-old wife, Judi, before shooting himself Saturday. The motives behind this have yet to be found.

Both had worked at the Aspen Skiing Company, The Aspen Daily News tells us. Friends told the newspaper Andrew Mazeika had battled cancer, but had seen his health improve.

The Aspen Times reports, public records show that Andrew Mazeika filed for divorce in October in Garfield County, and a separation agreement was entered in court in January. Records suggest that the matter was officially resolved in February and the marriage wasn't dissolved.

The couple have an adult daughter.
