Bats invade Cortez middle school

CORTEZ, Colo (KKCO) Students and teachers have been absent from Cortez Middle School after a bat infestation. The superintendent says the district decided to cancel school after a couple of bats flew through a hallway, with one coming in contact with a student. A company that specializes in bat removal has been at work since Thursday. Officials believe there are five different bat colonies in the school. The cost of removal??? A stiff $24,500.
