BATTLEMENT MESA, Colo (KKCO) The "Library Trail" ribbon cutting ceremony is this Saturday, August 25th, 2012 at 10:00am. Members of the Garfield County Board of Commissioners, prominent local politicians, and community leaders will be in attendance. The ceremony will be held at the entrance to the Lyons Ranch on Old County Road 300. In addition to the new trail, the Battlement Mesa Service Association Board has also approved a contract to complete a 2 inch asphalt overlay of 2.38 miles of the community's trail system in order to assure that the trails are safe and to encourage trail use.
