GRAND JUNCTION, Colo (KKCO) We've been getting calls and e-mails for several weeks now asking when the California franchise will open in Grand Junction. The franchise owners tell us there was an issue with the gas station next door over a shared access easement. We're told the issue has been resolved. The owners say they expect to get their building permit in the next few weeks. We've also learned they plan on adding a kid's playground. The new opening date is December.

"Once we get open, come and try it out; we are going to be open 24 hours, both inside and drive-through; that way college kids who like to be out late; they can have a place to come eat some tacos," says HB Mason, franchise owner.

The restaurant will be located on U.S. Highway 6&50, between Chik-Fil-A and Carville's Auto Mart, just west of the Rimrock shopping center. The franchise plans to bring up to 70 jobs to the Western Slope. The owners plan to open a second location in Grand Junction, as well as locations in Rifle, Montrose, Delta, and possibly Gunnison.
